Spring Trip
The Marriotts Ridge Music Department takes an annual Spring Trip that includes all performing groups.
We highly encourage students and families to take advantage of this opportunity. There is so much learning to be gained by participation on these trips in High School.
The trips help foster and develop important life skill components. They require students to demonstrate maturity and good decision making skills away from the confines of the school and family environment.
They allow our students to perform for nationally acclaimed adjudicator panels and participate in high-level competition with students from all across the country.
Although we may re-visit destinations every four years, each time we plan new activities and compete against different schools. Each year promises to be new and exciting! Our students are able to bond and grow as a music community through these experiences. These bonds last far beyond the students’ high school years.
For all performing groups to be at their best, the expectation is for all students to participate, but especially if you are in the premier ensembles, Symphonic Wind Ensemble and Big Band Jazz Ensemble.
The 2026 Spring Trip will be to the music capital of the US, Nashville, TN. The trip cost includes all transportation, most meals, and admission to all of the activities.
